Aims & Objects
The Society aims to protect, preserve and conserve Knaresborough and to stimulate public interest in the town, its beauty, history and setting.
To monitor proposals for new buildings and developments and commenting constructively on planning applications.
To promote high standards of architecture and town planning.
To act as a collective voice when local views are sought.
To promote projects such as renovating historic buildings and to improve the quality of public places and spaces.
To stimulate public interest in environmental issues.
To undertake surveys and research in order to improve our knowledge of our surroundings.
